UNCOMFORTABLY NUMB.
THE LATEST TRACK FROM TELEVISION SCREAMS.
Television Screams are a scrappy 4-piece punk band from London, adopting the genre moniker of 'RIOT GHOUL' thanks to a shared love of campy cult horror movies, classic punk, and riot grrrl spirit.
Drawing on inspiration from the likes of The Lost Boys and The Rocky Horror Picture Show as much as My Chemical Romance and Misfits, the band arrived on the scene back in 2020, courtesy of debut single 'Break Your Legs', which quickly resonated with fans on TikTok, amassing 166.8K views and over 54,000 Spotify streams to date.
Following up the 60-second burst of anger that is 'Break Your Legs' was the band's second single, 'Don't Ghost Me', a track which is due to be joined on October 21st by TV Screams' latest release.
The third single from Television Screams, 'Uncomfortably Numb’ is a 2-minute long rallying cry against oppressive relationships and the unfairness of life, penned by guitarist Nancy Napalm alongside singer Mort Drew after a particularly bad break-up. Having then brought the lyrics to the rest of the band to collaborate on the music, 'Uncomfortably Numb' rapidly became a stand-out in TV Screams' live sets, exploding into a fierce and cathartic anthem for both the band themselves, and their fans.
